BS40
Broadband Structure-Borne Sound Sensor
The broadband structure-borne sound sensor BS40 is used in conjunction with the portable SONAPHONE ultrasonic testing device in the following fields of application:
- Condition monitoring of rotating parts of machines
- Monitoring and diagnostics of failures (e.g. lubrication status) and defects at roller bearings.
Advantages at a Glance
- Perfect for confined spaces (only half the size of BS20)
- Frequency range: 15 kHz to 100 kHz
- Hardware filter high-pass (< 1 kHz) for more flexibility in machine diagnostics
- Robust, stainless steel housing (laser welded)
- Improved EMC stability incl. shielded cable
- Maximum flexibility due to standard threaded pin, e.g. magnets or adhesive pads with internal thread ¼"-28 UNF
- Proven transducer principle retained in the form of piezocomposite
The BS40 structure-borne sound sensor has been specially designed for the following tasks:
- Condition monitoring of rotating parts of machines
- Monitoring and diagnostics of failures (e.g. lubrication status) and defects at roller bearings.
