SONOTEC Article on Phased Array Testing in Practice Published in the Latest Issue of ZfP Magazin

SONOTEC announces the publication of its contribution on phased array testing in practice in the current issue of ZfP Magazin (Issue 197, p. 15). The article reflects key discussions held within the DGZfP Subcommittee on Phased Array, focusing on how modern array technologies can be applied transparently, reliably, and in accordance with existing standards.
The publication addresses topics that are crucial for the practical implementation of phased array ultrasonic testing, including real-world applicability, comparative measurements, and the ongoing exchange between technological innovation and standard compliance. In doing so, it highlights a core challenge many practitioners face: leveraging the advantages of advanced array technologies while maintaining reproducibility, traceability, and alignment with established requirements.
Cross-functional exchange strengthens practical relevance
A key strength of the DGZfP subcommittee work lies in the diversity of expertise involved. Equipment manufacturers, users, and committee members contribute different perspectives, supporting a constructive dialogue on how phased array technology can continue to evolve in a way that is both technically robust and practically feasible for industrial inspection environments.
