Once again, SONOTEC will present its ultrasonic sensors for non-contact flow measurement at SEMICON West. From October 13 to 15, 2026, the leading international trade fair for the semiconductor industry will take place in San Francisco, USA.
Following its successful debut in 2025, SONOTEC will return to SEMICON West. As an exhibitor in the German Pavilion, the ultrasonic specialist will showcase its high-precision metal-free flow sensors and air bubble detectors at the joint booth #1245.
The compact and robust sensors of the SEMIFLOW series enable reliable flow measurement of chemicals and other liquids used for transfer and distribution within semiconductor fabs. Thanks to their non-contact clamp-on architecture, the sensors measure through rigid plastic tubing without direct contact with the medium. This eliminates the risk of contamination or leakage and makes the technology particularly suitable for sensitive semiconductor manufacturing processes.
“In semiconductor manufacturing, reliable control of process liquids is essential for maintaining stable process conditions and achieving consistent product quality. Our non-contact ultrasonic technology provides accurate real-time flow measurement without contacting the medium,” emphasizes Lotte Schutrak, International Sales Manager at SONOTEC. “After our first successful participation last year, we’re looking forward to meeting customers and partners at SEMICON West again and discussing how our flow measurement and bubble detection solutions can support greater process stability and efficiency.”
The SEMIFLOW CO.65 sensors reliably measure abrasive, adhesive, corrosive, and ultrapure liquids on industry-specific rigid plastic pipes. Their non-contact measuring principle is wear-free and requires no maintenance in the measuring path. The compact housing with integrated electronics requires only little installation space, thus allowing for easy integration into existing process architectures.
For operation in potentially explosive environments, SONOTEC offers the SEMIFLOW CO.66 PI Ex1. The intrinsically safe flow meter is designed for use in Zone 1 production areas in accordance with ATEX and IECEx requirements and provides reliable flow measurement in demanding process environments.
SONOTEC’s ultrasonic sensors are available in different sizes for PFA, PTFE and other hard plastic tubes, providing flexible solutions for a wide range of semiconductor process applications.
