On April 23–24, 2026, SONOTEC had the pleasure of supporting the 50th European CMP & WET Users Group Meeting as co-organizer in Halle (Saale), Germany. As this milestone edition took place in SONOTEC’s hometown, the company also hosted the networking dinner at its headquarters, welcoming guests from across the semiconductor industry.
The European CMP & WET Users Group Meeting brought together industry experts, partners, and users for two days of technical exchange and networking. Traditionally, the co-organizer role is taken on by a community partner, making ultrasound specialist SONOTEC proud to contribute to the anniversary edition in Halle (Saale).
Participating both as exhibitor and speaker at the Dormero Conference Center, SONOTEC gave the first expert talk, presenting the ultrasound transit-time principle by focusing on the impact of the sonic speed of a liquid on the sensor design. Later on, SONOTEC highlighted its expertise even further with a company pitch and presented its SEMIFLOW sensor family, developed specifically for applications within the semiconductor industry. At the co-organizer’s exhibition booth, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the ultrasonic clamp-on flow meters and touch base with the SEMIFLOW CO.65 show model.
A highlight of the event was the evening reception on April 23, hosted by SONOTEC at its headquarters. Guests enjoyed networking on the rooftop terrace, dinner with live cooking, and conversations in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking Halle (Saale). Alongside regional specialties such as traditional “Hallorenkugeln, the evening created memorable moments for the CMP & WET community.
Over the two-day event, participants reconnected with long-standing colleagues, welcomed new members to the community, and exchanged valuable insights on current technologies, industry trends, and future developments in CMP and WET processing.
