On June 16, 2026, SONOTEC presented its non-contact ultrasonic solutions for flow measurement and air bubble detection at the 20th Silicon Saxony Days held at Dresden Airport.
The anniversary edition brought together professionals from industry, research institutions, start-ups, and government and is regarded as one of the leading networking events for the European high-tech and semiconductor sectors. For SONOTEC, Silicon Saxony Days have been a fixed date in the calendar for many years. This year marked the company's fifth participation with its own on-site booth and its sixth participation in the event overall.
The focus of SONOTEC’s exhibition presence was on the clamp-on flow meters of the SEMIFLOW product family, designed for demanding applications in semiconductor manufacturing. Operating completely contactless, the sensors enable precise flow measurement without interrupting fab processes, thereby contributing to process reliability and equipment uptime during chemicals and other liquids transfer. SEMIFLOW sensors are used, for example, in CMP processes to monitor slurry supply and in wet bench etching processes for flow volume measurement.
At the booth, Marketing Manager Daniela Treptow and International Sales Manager Fernando Rangel provided insights into the wide range of applications for ultrasonic sensors in high-purity fluid systems. Discussions with end users, equipment manufacturers, and technology partners also addressed current challenges in process monitoring and control.
For the first time, Silicon Saxony Days 2026 took place over three days. The event also celebrated its 20th anniversary alongside the 25th anniversary of the Silicon Saxony network itself. SONOTEC has been a member of Silicon Saxony since 2020 and continuously uses the platform to exchange knowledge and ideas with companies and research institutions from the semiconductor and microelectronics industries.
