From September 2 to 4, 2026, SONOTEC participated in SEMICON Taiwan in Taipei for the first time. As part of the German Pavilion, the ultrasonic specialist presented its high-precision SEMIFLOW sensors and air bubble detectors for non-contact liquid monitoring in semiconductor manufacturing.
With more than 4,100 exhibitors and over 100,000 trade visitors, SEMICON Taiwan is an important meeting point for the global semiconductor industry. For SONOTEC, the event provided an opportunity to introduce its ultrasonic measurement technology in one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturing regions and to discuss the requirements of advanced wet processes with industry professionals.
A Key Meeting Point for the Semiconductor Industry
At SEMICON Taiwan, the German semiconductor industry was represented at the German Pavilion in Hall TaiNEX 1. The joint booth was organized by Silicon Saxony, one of Europe’s largest microelectronics and ICT industry networks of which SONOTEC is a member. The pavilion brought together up to thirty participating companies and organizations, providing a shared platform for presenting German technologies and expertise to the international semiconductor community.
As one of the exhibitors at booth K2760, SONOTEC presented its ultrasonic SEMIFLOW sensors and SONOCHECK air bubble detectors for monitoring liquid processes throughout semiconductor fabs. Lutz Schmidt, International Sales Manager at the ultrasound specialist and drawing on his extensive experience in the Asian market and particularly in Taiwan, got valuable further insights into the region’s semiconductor industry and the specific requirements of local customers at SEMICON Taiwan.
SONOTEC’s first appearance at SEMICON Taiwan marks another step in strengthening its presence in the Asian semiconductor market and highlighting the value of non-contact ultrasonic monitoring for reliable and efficient manufacturing processes.
