The SONOSPOT parabolic probe for SONAPHONE devices is designed for the rapid, reliable and cost-effective detection of seal failures and the smallest of leaks from compressed air systems and networks, industrial equipment and machinery and covered pipes with restricted access. The use of this parabolic probe leads to significant energy cost savings and an increase of operational reliability. The long range capability of the probe and the integrated red dot point sight, which can be replaced by a laser pointer set upon request, allow reliable and precise detection, even over long distances.

The high sensitivity and precise directionality of the sensor allow the detection of electrical partial discharges and damages to electrical insulation e.g. on medium-voltage machinery. The insensitivity of the probe to background noise within its acoustic range makes it ideal for use in noise intensive areas. The optimised ergonomics and low weight make the probe extremely simple to handle and easy to transport.
