SONOTEC at MD&M West 2016 - Sensors for Medical Technology

SONOTEC presents at this year’s MD&M West – the largest show for medical technology in North America – ultrasonic sensors for flow measurement and air bubble detection. The German ultrasound specialist exhibits the products from February 9 to 11, 2016 at booth 1999 in the Anaheim Convention Center.

The non-invasive flow sensor SONOFLOW CO.55 measures the flow rate of liquids in tubes and is well suited for applications with strict hygienic standards. The complete evaluation is integrated into the clamp-on sensor, therefore no additional external electronic board is needed.

The hybrid sensor SONOFLOW CO.56 combines two measurement techniques in one device: The contactless sensor measures the flow rate of liquids and detects air bubbles simultaneously. Designed as a clamp-on component as well, the SONOFLOW CO.56 can be installed in medical devices that have to fulfill highest safety requirements. The high-performant and easy to use software, offered optionally by SONOTEC, allows for customized parameterization on demand.

The air bubble sensors of the SONOCHECK ABD series are used for applications whereby the non-invasive detection of air bubbles plays an important role, for example in dialysis. The detectors – available in different configurations, sizes and designs – automatically adapt to varying acoustic conditions and, thus, guarantee an extraordinary degree of measurement stability.

Sensors for level detection at drip chambers as well as for the detection of smallest amounts of blood in clear fluids are also available by SONOTEC and will be presented at the event for medical suppliers.
